Detailed Cannabis Seed Strain Seed Library
There are countless cannabis seed varieties. There are so many cannabis varieties that nobody can determine an exact count, as more are being developed. This is because the varieties are crossed with one another. Meanwhile you get every questionable cannabis seed variety offered, but they are all based on the same plant, the Cannabis Sativa. Cannabis varieties can vary in effect, price, cultivation, looks and other factors. Some of the most famous cannabis seed strains are definitely Crystal, Chronic, Big Bud, Ice, White Widow, Northern Light and Super Skunk. But there are many more cannabis seed varieties than only these.
Cannabis varieties can be divided into four main categories/species. These are:
- Indica
- Sativa
- Cannabis Ruderalis
Indica Cannabis
Indica cannabis strains are mostly small and compact. Well adapted for the so-called "Homegrow", where you cultivate hemp at home in your growbox. Despite the fact that the plant becomes relatively small (about 1m), Indicas produce relatively many flowers. There are Indica Cannabis varieties that yield up to 600g per m² (about 4-5 plants). Indicas almost all come from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Tibet, Nepal, etc. so mainly from South Asia. The effect is primarily bodily and makes you stoned, creating heavy sedation.
Cannabis Sativa
Sativa comes from the equatorial regions. This variety continues growing during blooming, so Sativas have a tendency to grow very tall. In the wild, these can grow up to several meters high. The leaves are broad with many small fingers.
Cannabis Ruderalis
The name comes from "ruderal", a term for an uncontrolled growing plant. Ruderalis is indigenous to Russia, Central Europe and Central Asia. They are very small, between 30-80 cm tall. The plant has few branches, but broad, bushy and light colored fingers. As it has minimal THC content, it is seldom smoked but its genetics makes it very appealing for breeding.
